It turns out there are a few downsides to living in a futuristic (to Neria, at least) apocalypse, chief among them the significant risk of a mutated monster or two, or lots, rampaging merrily through town and wreaking merry havoc, and on this occasion their sweet little shop fell victim to that very wide swathe of destruction. What do they have against herbs, we ask you!
There's a pun to be made here. It's terrible.
Aaaaanyway, just because the streets are in chaos doesn't mean commercial enterprise can just grind to a halt, and so Neria is out in front of the store, glaring tinily up at the remains of a very nice display of dried herbs! And the window they were in front of! And....well, nothing else, but surely that's enough.
Whenever Dirk ambles into air quotes work, end quotes, because Neria doesn't make him keep any more regular hours than Anders did, that is the position in which he will be obliged to greet her. She's sweeping up the remains of the storefront using cranky little magic hand motions rather than a broom, because spite is a very powerful motivator.
"Goooood morning, Dirk." Spite is also what's motivating this cheerfulness and sunny smile, but uh. It's a plus for him, at least! "I've been thinking we should have a sale. Maybe ...half off on everything that used to be in this window?"
